Author bio (brief) Sergeant First Class RET William A. Stephens Jr., a native of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, born and raised. He has 38+ years honorable military and civilian experience as a Field Artillery Senior Sergeant and personal Security Specialist for the civilian government.
He suffers from major depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar I and bipolar II disorder.
He is honorably retired from the military and the civilian government as well as a 100% protected combat wounded veteran.
His military friends know him as Battle, he is Father, Friend, a mentor as well as a motivator and an influencer most of all he has a shoulder that you can cry on about your problems.
He is the author of this publications reviewed by the US book review. THE BROKEN MIRROR EST 2024 is a continuation of the first book THE MIRROR EST. 2018. WINNER in the Military Self-HelP and Self Development CAT INTERNATIONAL IMPACT BOOK AWARD March 2025. Nominated for the prestigious ERIC HOFFER AWARD 2025. I wanted to continue the journey of this broken bond between myself and my teenage daughter, as well as my transition from military to civilian life.
I have been deployed various locations around the world, several combat deployments.
I have suffered with CPTS and PTSD. If this book can help anyone who is at a point in their life where they don’t wanna be here anymore. I hope that a story or a poem or some quote will let you live another day. Everybody has trauma, and if you don’t have it, you eventually will.
